I know, the sound changed, but it was a great album, especially when ronni sang on "Cool it". _________________ Why don't you take me, break me, intoxicate me now? |

| Yes, VERY different from what they had recorded before. It took me a few month and countless hours to get finally into it. The same with "Transistor". But now I love both albums. Not as fantastic as "Tell No Tales" or "My Religion", but still very good. |

Ronni went pretty much insane on Angels Ride. Awesome song, have it on my computer. _________________ Why don't you take me, break me, intoxicate me now? |

i think firefly and transistor is the albums that "live" the longest i my heart at least. i never get tired of them. many tunes on my religion have that strength too, but this is special:D _________________ www.bbsociety.com |

The direction the band went on Firefly and Transistor is fascinating musically. It proved the band could do different things and not just try and repeat former glories and "sell out" as it were.
In fact, TNT have always sounded different on every album, and the only two that really sound anything alike are Tell No Tales and Intuition - and even then there's some obvious progression in style.
The only thing that doesn't change is TNT's quality in songwriting.
I find My Religion to be a perfect slice of TNT that should appeal to anyone anytime.
But Firefly, Transistor and All The Way To The Sun are all special records that might take a bit of getting into for some people, but for those who "get" them, they're TNT at their finest. Listening to some of the amazing things they do on those 3 records in particular... wow.
Firefly has the title track's aggression with a moody yet beautiful chorus.
Angels Ride has the grooviest rhythm with some shredding guitar and snarling vocals. Love it!
Tripping encompasses pure beauty.
Daisy Jane continues the mellow vibe with some cool melodies and a sweet solo.
Somebody Told You is awesome with some more harshness and a smooth chorus.
Month Of Sundays is one of the greatest TNT songs ever written.
Only The Thief... interesting
Moonflower is really sweet! Wow! Ronni on vocals. Haunting yet beautiful song.
Heaven's Gone is such a cool, rockin' track with one hell of a chorus.
Sunless Star is another of TNT's greatest songs and one of my personal favourites from the album. Absolutely stunning chorus, and just a cool song overall.
Cool It... interesting It's cool, but not one of my favourites. Bit out of place really.
Shall I count Soldier Of The Light as a Firefly song even though it's from earlier on? Go on then. Stunning |

You see cdon.com has been a saviour for the fans of TNT. They got almost every cd. I remember when I ordered the single "sometimes" last year and I felt so special |
