Here's a brief summary of every opinion I have of the album:
Hello, Hello- Great opening track, with brimming, soaring vocal harmonics. Tony really shows his range here. Lead by an awesome lead riff and bass steadily backing courtesy of master bassist Victor Borge. Diesel's drums break it down well. The solo by Ronni is heavy on the Brian May style playing. This song alone beats ATTWS and Territory all the way IMO.
Peter Sellers Blues- A great riff by Ronni and very nice vocal harmonies by Tony as usual. The lyrics are clever, but not some I can get into. The solo begins with a short drum and bass passage that really has a groove, but then Ronni goes into an insane solo with way cool effects on his guitar. A very cool track.
Baby's Got Rhythm- Hey, a TNT house song! Great guitar by Ronni as usual, there's so much stuff he plays at once that it's hard to keep track...but the lyrics are kinda repetitive, although Tony sings them well. The guitar and drums really make sure Baby's Got Rhythm! And the frenetic pace of song is perfect for me to rock out to when I'm feeling hyper! The little rhythm guitar section in between verses is just headbangin'! And is that a sitar used in the midesection dubover? Baby's Got Talent too. The actual solo goes for the jugular with TONS of machinegunning.
Tango Girl- This is where the talents of all the guys start to show. Tony does some awesomely soaring verse vocals and Ronni's riffs are just as packing as can be, love the flamenco guitar. Diesel packs the pistons throughout the song. Vic and Ronni work together really well in the solo...the solo is one of Ronni's best IMO with the contrasting sections and the Brian May harmonizing in the second passage. Great song guys.
Me and Dad- I'm not a ballad guy, but I love the sweet vocals Tony pours out here, and Ronni does a great job punctuating the emotion of the song. The midsection is where the guitar really shines. There's so many things going on at once-the whammy II section was what I was focusing on but the synth on top distracted me. And a few seconds after that is several more guitar.
Atlantis- Great song here, one of my favs. The drums, bass and guitar really mix together here well...And I'm not the flattering type, but I honestly think you sound like Tony Harnell a bit in this song, with your soaring delivery of the verses. Ronni's solo is pretty cool-what is that guitar technique? But the backing guitars throughout this song remind me of Marty Friedman. The ending passage has some amazing wah soloing. Really great track, one of my hooks! Quickly becoming my overall favorite!
Taste of Honey- I like this song a lot. Reminds me of Daisy Jayne a bit, Tony's vocals are just perfect for this type of song, and Ronni's guitar is just finger lickin sweet. The solo has some nice Whammy harmonics.
Bottle of Wine- Not a bad song by any means-Ronni's riff and the drums are outstanding, as are Tone's harmonies...I just can't get into the mood. However I really like the riff.
Missing Kind- Great song right here guys. Vic's bass goes really great here, and Tony's vocals are just amazing...the song's lyrics really remind me of my personal conflict(teenagehood, high school girls... ) Ronni does great stuff as usual here.
Love of my Life- Suitable for My Religion. The riff and the overall style of the song really remind me of that album. Tony's harmonies are very soaring, and the bass and drums really work together well. The guitar solo is also pure Religion. Love this Track!
Had it, Lost it, Found it- My personal favorite track. The guitar, bass and drums all go for your jugular vein. Like a knife thrown straight at ya. Tony does some nice shrieks in the chorus, and some really good lower verse vocals. The solo is venomous. It has pretty much all of Ronni's trademarks plus a few curveballs-the whammying is really great and the bass and drums are like a match to a forest- they heat up everything. Vic pounds away to the point where i think the strings would have snapped at his bass and Diesel jackhammers away. Great closer, leaves me begging for MOAR! I think I know what this song's about...critics...
Overall guys, this is a really outstanding effort. The instrumentation is probably the finest since Tell No Tales and Intuition, and Tony Mills proves his place as TNT's new vocalist. This is the new TNT.
(A word of advice: Don't trust reviews that don't look at all sides of a song, like if a reviewer dwells on one aspect that bothers him and doesn't look at the other stuff I would take it with a handful of salt) _________________ Hypnotize...Hypnotize me....

Hola Amigo! Greetings from your San Francisco neighbor (well, we're, umm, sortof neighbors - at least we're in the same hemisphere)!
Glad you finally got a copy of Atlantis --- even though the music is more melodic than hard, I always enjoy the clever way everything is rounded out and I definitely look forward to whatever might come next... I hear it will be a live disc. :-)
Don't forget, "You'll never find your way to Atlantis, for it was never there!"

...Actually if you turn right at the High Street, go past McDonalds and then left into Market Square you'll find it...They only sell second-hand, B-grade washing machines now of course but in the 70's they were the purveyors of all manner of fine electrical goods |
