Daring to chip in on this one, Tony. Feel free to elaborate.
China Blue is a project band that has been ongoing for a while, during times where the members have been between work with their current bands. The album has been more or less ready for release since mid-2006 (according to press)
Great lineup :
Tony Mills (vocals) Shy, Siam, TNT
Michael Riesenbeck (guitar) Alibi
Rev Jones (bass) Black Symphony, Michael Schenker Group
Eric Ragno (keyboards) Vox Tempus, Takara
Zane Peterson (drums) Malicious, Conditioned Response
I saw Rev with MSG on Sweden Rock Festival in 2006, and he absolutely rocked! That was a good Michael Schenker performance ...
Exciting project. Do you have a release date for the album ?
Also looking forward to the Tony Mills solo album. Some great contributors on that one too. Can we expect a release in March/April for it ?

First of all, thank you for the compliments regarding other projects that I am involved in.
I, like the other members of TNT, need to express ourselves artistically in other directions, indeed, witnessing Ronni's solo concert in Oslo, was a great experience, and without doubt, one of the greatest gigs I have seen in a long while.
With regard to China Blue, that was a project I got involved in a couple of years ago, when Melodic Rock.com were asked to find a vocalist for Eric Ragno and Michael Reisenbeck after they had written material for a project but could not find an appropriate voice for the material. Subsequently, after many months of stress, Michael dropped out and the guitar was taken over by Josh Ramos from Los Angeles. There have been many line up changes on this studio project, and now, after Fabrizzio Grossi and Beau Hill have been mixing the album, we are nearing completion on the project.
I finished my work on this album many months ago and maybe now that Pete Newdeck from the Steve Grimmet Band (Grim Reaper) has stepped in to finish the drum recordings, it will finally see the light.
The solo album that I am recording, primarily for release in the Scandinavian market, is nearing completion in writing and currently moving into commercial studios for recording. I have a window of opportunity in that TNT have worked solidly for 18 months and are taking a break until February on the live front, so I am working throughout the Christmas period to complete a solo project so that it does not impede TNT's activity.
The material is heavy and yet melodic, with a sinister outlook in the sound and lyrical content, very reminiscent of my time with SIAM. The album recordings will be finished in around six weeks and are being mixed by the producer which handled 'The Who' and Pete Townsend in Manchester, UK.
The album title will be called 'Vital Designs', and I intend to play the material live in Europe as and when it is suitable and does not interfere with TNT's diary.
TNT remain my priority as a careerscape, as undoubtedly they will for a long time, and just as any other musician, I will continue to pursue other artistic vents, as we all have to.
Regards
TonyM |

I recall a conversation about this with Zane Peterson.
He talked for an hour about it.
He also talks very highly of you, Tone! _________________ Raise a flag & leave a sign |

Even at this late stage, I have been given another track to record for China Blue, which I will finish this week. The album is all but wrapped up and I believe the release to be through Frontiers in Italy and JVC in Japan over the coming weeks, probably the back end of February at the latest.
Cheers

What I'm really waiting for is a pure rocking TNT album that will piledrive MelodicRock and Rev Z into the ground, with lots of machine gunning solos, cool riffs, melodic choruses and lyrics, and great vocals from you, with no fillers, just killers!
Good luck with the new album! I pray that this album will be the best since My Religion!Good luck Mr.Mills! _________________ Why don't you take me, break me, intoxicate me now? |

I'll make sure that my friends at Missing Piece will have it, so there will be no problems for the Swedes to get it. For the rest of Scandinavia, we can only hope that Cdon will have it. |

Frontiers Records is distributed in Norway, so there should be no problem finding albums from the label in any good record store here. _________________ The beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost
